I’m Mike Barrett, a motorsport photographer based in Yorkshire, covering race meetings, track days and automotive events with a focus on action, atmosphere and the people behind the machines.
No gimmicks. No rushed snapshots. No fake-looking, overcooked editing. Just strong, properly crafted images of cars that deserve to be seen at their best.

Good motorsport photography is about far more than a car passing a camera at speed.
It is about the tension before a race, the quiet focus in the paddock, the details most people walk past, and the split-second moments that define an event.

Why work with me
Motorsport is not something I dip into occasionally.

How it works
1. Tell me about the event
If you need coverage of a race meeting, track day or automotive event, get in touch and tell me what you are looking for.
2. We agree on the approach
Some clients want pure action. Others want a fuller set of images, including paddock, atmosphere and details. We decide the best approach based on the event and the intended use of the images.
3. Event coverage
I photograph the day with a focus on strong action, key moments and the wider story of the event.
4. Finished images
The best photographs are carefully selected and edited, then supplied as high-resolution files ready for publication, promotion or personal use.
