I’m Mike Barrett, a photographer based in West Yorkshire, with nearly five decades behind the camera. My background is in automotive and motorsport photography, and I’m now extending that experience to wider sports and event coverage.

I’m drawn to action, character and the people behind the scene—from competitors on a circuit to the skill and craftsmanship inside a specialist workshop. My aim is to capture photographs that tell the story of your event or business.

For event organisers, that means covering the action, participants and atmosphere. For automotive businesses, it means showing your team, premises, work in progress and finished vehicles, with photographs for websites, social media, publicity and marketing.

My work is regularly published in Classic American Magazine and has featured on the front cover of People in Camera (PIC) magazine. I hold permanent accreditation with the Vintage Sports-Car Club and Straightliners, and carry public liability insurance.

Every shoot starts with understanding what you need and how you’ll use the photographs. From there, I plan the coverage around the moments, people and details that matter.
